Living with the Living

Living with the Living was a solo show hosted in 2023, showcasing a wide range of works inspired by the everyday joys and despairs of life.

Hosted at The Station in Fortitude Valley and sponsored by the Brisbane City Council, the event was a wild success.

A range of different mediums were on display, including paintings, papier mache sculptures, soft sculptures, quilts, and animation.

Guests were invited to interact with displays which included a colouring in table made up of pages based on displayed paintings, and a birthday set which replicated that used in promotional photos.

The night included live music, on a make shift stage of which was decorated with papier mache flowers.

The event was organised entirely by Ruby, but wouldn’t have been possible without the help of her loved ones in setting up, and volunteering their time on the night.
