My name is Ruby, and I am a prop and costume maker from Brisbane, Australia.

My work has always been very personal, revolving around childhood and sentimental themes. Not being shy of experimenting with any and all mediums, my practice has become very versatile, but my love for sewing has always remained centre stage. 

My grandma taught me the basics of sewing at a young age, and I was gifted my first machine at 14. I am primarily self taught, but am currently completing a Cert III in apparel, fashion and textiles.

I have spent the last 5 years showcasing my art at local exhibitions, including my own solo show, Living with the Living, in 2023.
